Hi, I'm looking for advice on sensitively and respectively writing an intersex character, especially how to handle other characters' surprise without fetishizing it and intimacy. What terms / tropes should I avoid?

It seems like my post about it got flagged and won’t be allowed back up (gotta love how something with zero images got flagged!!!) but if you’re looking for a sensitivity reader I go abt $20 per project including reading/taking questions :)

However I will be leaving this blog so this will probably be the last ask on this subject unless like. Some huge intersex thing comes up or something

for those in the twin cities metro area:

candlelight vigil at 7pm 6pm today (april 12th)  (moved to accommodate those who do not wish to stay past curfew) 

protest at bcpd at 7pm today (april 12th) rescheduled due to curfew, though people will probably still attend 

gas masks available for black folks protesting

some guidelines for protesting/protestor safety

more protesting guidelines

bail support number

beware that the fbi has a complex a few blocks away from bcpd (physical location)

be aware that there is a 7pm curfew for hennepin, anoka, ramsey, and dakota counties (because they want to fuck with the vigil and protest) 

• curfew has been modified so that anyone travelling to prayer, such as taraweeh, is exempt 
• walz says that ‘largest police presence in Minnesota history will be prepared’ to enforce curfew, so please prepare if you’re planning to protest 
• remember that breaking curfew can be as simple as taking a walk, the more people who disobey the curfew the better 

donation sites for food and supplies

• more specific needs

CANMN is also collecting supplies for protestors

remember to check in and help with local encampments

keep this in mind to avoid the spread of misinformation

if you’re coming from out of town: please be mindful of the community and spaces you’re entering and protect those who are more vulnerable. stay out of private yards and be aware that many young children live in these residential areas.
